Before submitting your manuscript, please follow all the JFR Guidelines. The JFR only accepts submissions of original works that have not previously been published or are currently under consideration/review at other journals. We use Crossref Similarity Check by iThenticate to ensure that each manuscript is original. Any works found to be in whole or in part a duplication of any other work(s) (including those of the submitting author[s]), without appropriate citation will be desk rejected.
The publisher requires that all final manuscripts should be in editable formats (e.g. .rtf, .doc, .docx). We suggest that you submit your initial manuscript in this format to help streamline the process.
Payment of submission fees may be made by credit card, debit card, or PayPal. Submission fees are $150 for members of the Southern Finance Association or Southwestern Finance Association, or $200 for non-members (which includes a one-year subscription to the Journal of Financial Research). Select the appropriate payment amount in the “dropdown menu” below and then click on the ‘Add to Cart’ button to be directed to the JFR’s PayPal account to finish the process. MAKE SURE THAT YOU ENTER THE TITLE OF YOUR MANUSCRIPT IN THE “INSTRUCTIONS TO SELLER.” Also, if you are a non-member, MAKE SURE THAT YOU INCLUDE THE MAILING ADDRESS TO WHICH YOU WOULD LIKE THE PRINTED COPIES OF THE JFR MAILED (use the SHIPPING ADDRESS in PayPal). You do not need to have a PayPal account in order to make the payment. Should you encounter any problems in this process please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1.216.397.4459.
Articles for review at the Journal of Financial Research should be submitted through the journal’s ScholarOne Manuscripts submission system (click here to open ScholarOne in a new window).
Note: Submission fees are non-refundable (except in very limited circumstances). Further, we do not provide any comments with papers that are desk rejected.
